Workflows & email campaigns

This is where the leads you capture turn into action. The important thing to understand:

Keeping that split clear is what makes the system flexible: you wire the automation once in the platform, exactly how you like, and every widget that applies the right tag plugs into it.

The pattern

  1. In the widget (this app): set your Extra tags (and, for a quiz, the per-answer tags) in the Lead capture section.
  2. In the platform: build a Workflow with a trigger of “Contact Tag” / “Tag added”, choose the tag, and add your actions — send an email, start an email campaign, notify a rep, add a task, move a pipeline stage, and so on.

That’s it. From then on, every lead that widget tags flows into your automation automatically.

A worked example

You publish a Lead qualifier quiz with Extra tags summer-2026 and per-answer tags like intent-high and budget-high. In the platform you build:

  • Workflow ATrigger: Tag added budget-high → enroll in the “High-value nurture” email campaign and create a task for sales.
  • Workflow BTrigger: Tag added intent-high → send an instant “Book a call” email.
  • Workflow CTrigger: Tag added summer-2026 → add to the seasonal newsletter.

A visitor answers the quiz → the app tags the contact intent-high, budget-high, summer-2026The platform fires all three workflows. You built the funnel; the tags drive it.

Using the automatic tags

You don’t have to define custom tags to get started — the automatic tags work as triggers too:

  • Trigger on calculator-lead to send every calculator lead their “full report” email.
  • Trigger on spinner-win to email the prize code and start a redemption sequence.
  • Trigger on conversion-toolkit to route every lead this app captures into one master workflow.

Putting calculator results in your emails

When a calculator saves its results to custom fields, you can merge those values into your emails — e.g. include CT · Total monthly (PITI) in a “Here’s your personalized estimate” email. The field is written as text exactly as the visitor saw it, so it drops straight into the copy.
