Creating a calendar
Calendar Events needs at least one active Event calendar in the current sub-account before it can show events on a page. Other calendar types, such as personal booking, round robin, class, collective, or service booking calendars, are not used by Calendar Events.
Create the calendar
- Open Calendar settings from the current sub-account.
- Create a new calendar for the events you want to show publicly.
- Choose Event calendar as the calendar type. You may need to expand the full list of calendar types before you see it.
- Add the calendar details, including its name, URL, event duration, and availability where those fields apply.
- Add at least one upcoming event to that calendar.
- Return to Calendar Events and refresh the page.
- Open your widget and select the new calendar under Events.
If the calendar still does not appear
- Confirm you are in the same sub-account where the calendar was created.
- Make sure the calendar is active and its type is Event calendar.
- Refresh Calendar Events after creating or editing calendars.
- If you recently installed the app, wait a minute and refresh so the account permissions can settle.
Calendar setup notes
When creating an Event calendar, the setup flow may ask for:
- Calendar type — choose Event calendar.
- Name — use a friendly name you will recognize later in Calendar Events.
- URL or slug — this controls the calendar’s own booking link.
- Duration and availability — set when bookings or events can happen.
- Reminders and advanced settings — configure these if the calendar will also be used for appointment booking.
Calendar Events only needs the calendar and its upcoming events. You do not need to copy embed code or booking links into Calendar Events.
Next step
After selecting the calendar, save the widget and follow Add a saved widget to a page.
