Add to calendar

Every event card can show an Add to Calendar button so visitors save that one event straight to their own calendar app — no separate add-on or third-party service required.

Supported calendar apps

  • Google Calendar — opens a prefilled event on calendar.google.com
  • Apple Calendar / iCal — downloads an .ics file the visitor’s calendar app opens directly
  • Office 365 — opens a prefilled event on outlook.office.com
  • Outlook Desktop — downloads an .ics file the visitor’s calendar app opens directly
  • Outlook.com — opens a prefilled event on outlook.live.com

Clicking the button opens a small menu of these options.

Turning it on or off

Add to Calendar is on by default for every widget. Turn it off under Display settings in the widget if you’d rather not show it — for example, on a widget that’s purely informational.

What gets included

The title, date/time, location, and description carry over to the added event wherever the provider supports them. Events without a start time don’t produce a broken calendar link — the button simply won’t appear for that event.

This is different from subscribing

Add to Calendar saves one event, once. If you’d rather visitors get every event automatically, including future additions and changes, point them at calendar subscriptions instead.
